Deanna (Dee) Ridgway joined mk North America, Inc. in January 2019 as Manager of Human Resources and Accounting.
“I’m delighted to announce that Dee Ridgway has joined mk North America. With a Human Resources, Payroll and Accounting skill set, Dee brings both strong formal education and practical hands-on experience to this important leadership role. With Dee joining our management team, I am confident that we have added an important individual that will assist in growing the company, while ensuring that we remain true to our human resource policies, programs, and practices.” – Andreas Haussmann, President.
In 1993, Kevin Doughney had years of experience working as a machinist for Sikorsky Aircraft and United Technologies, and was looking to make a change to a smaller company. In the late fall of that year he met with a man named Andreas Tietje, who started the North American division of Maschinenbau Kitz just five years earlier, mk Automation Engineering. On December 5, 1993 Kevin became the fifth employee at mk. The rest, they say, is history. I had the pleasure of sitting down and chatting with Kevin about the changes he has seen not only in mk, but within the industry as a whole.
As part of our 30th anniversary at mk North America, we’re taking the time to get to know some of our employees better. Some of the individuals you will meet in these blog posts have been with mk for a number of years, while others are just starting out. But regardless of how long they have been with the company or what their role is, they are all a vital part of the organization, lending to mk fulfilling its mission and its promise to provide not only a better product, but also a better solution.
In October, I had the chance to sit down with Will Peters one of our Engineers.
In July, I had the chance to sit down with Angelica Brooks one of our Administrative Assistants. Prior to joining mk North America in October 2015, Angelica was a Customer Support Representative with a global eyewear company. There she maintained customer relationships and helped expedite orders. Two skills she has brought to the forefront during her time at mk.
In May, I had the chance to sit down with Scott Blais Jr., who is currently an Inside Sales Associate. I started my conversation with Scott, a recent college graduate but an mk alum by asking him, what drew him to wanting to work at mk North America. Scott explained to me about how mk has always been a part of his life.
